Model United Nations
The Model United Nations of our school is progressing under the guidance of Mrs. Neetha Nandani. The main motive of MUN is to open the eyes of children to see the current situation of Sri Lanka and speak up for their motherland.
Southern Youth Model United Nations conference 2019 was organized by the MUN club of Sangamitta Balika Vidyalaya Galle under the theme of “ Transforming Sri Lanka”. With 6 subcommittees, each focusing on the present issues faced by Sri Lanka. Delegates from many schools with many innovative ideas, participated in the conference.
Three Heartians have succeeded in bringing glory to our school by winning awards:
- Award for higher recommendation- Sithmini Sirithunga
- Award for honorary mention- Savindi Kariyawasam
- Award for best chairperson- Nafha Zain
